I have been working in HR for over 30 years and can honestly say that the role of HR can often be taken up with routine questions such as:

  • How much time off can I book?
  • How many days holiday will I have left if…?
  • How many day’s has ... had off sick?
  • I have lost my P60 / payslip, can I have another?
  • Where can I find the HR policy on ...?

All important questions for the person asking them but, as a business owner, they can eat into your time and distract you from doing the things that only you can do.
