Recruiting for Small Business

Many small businesses seem to grow 'naturally' - as there is a need for additional support, someone is found or recommended to fulfil that need and so the business grows by one more. Often the focus at this time is 'who do I know' or 'who can I trust' rather than 'can they do this well'. This growth is also more spontaneous than strategic and, although it can work, there are some disadvantages to this approach too ... although they may not be recognised until later down the line
